While I am quite upset I did not make it to DDA 2 I am at least relearning and going over my mistakes in DDA meaning I can better myself and since I already know some knowledge and technique's about the course's we'll go over, I will reach out for help when I'm not understanding a topic, What excite's me the most about DDA is I can better myself and my knowledge about the tricks, tools etc that I've learned throughout the course and also go over my mistakes when going through 1,2,3 Quarter's

During This Summer Vacation I was pretty bored, Not knowing what to use my time, This was before the Summer Assignment's, I made a Train!, Carrying Cargo, I did this by using the Material Library when exploring Clara.io when we where working on assignment's and the tutorials for it. When doing this I made the body of the train and was using, Face, Edge, Vertex, Was Thinking of using Material ID's but it didn't fit into the plan I was thinking of so I had to think about making the cargo part of the train, So I looked up free cargo .jpg's and found the right one I downloaded it, Next I uploaded it to Clara.io, Went into Material Library, Selected it then after that I Right Clicked the .jpg and made it into a .jpgMaterial, Made a Rectangle and put the texture on it then attached it to the train for the finishing touches I added lighting and wheels to the train. *I have learned about Material Libraries and how they are helpful when creating new Scenes in Clara.io to make a certain item pop and give attention to, And to choose the right choose's before going ahead, Plan before continuing. In Clara.io I have gained knowledge in many ways when using Extrude, Bevel, Mirror, Detach, Duplicate Flip and much much more!!, During in one of the Summer Assignments where I created the bee it was very difficult doing the leg parts for the bee and the wings as well, So what I did was when I made the first leg part and was about to attach it to the body I first duplicated the leg, I made it so It could line up with the other leg on the other side of the bee, With the wings I mirrored the body after finishing the legs and head, I Extrude the top bit of the bees body and made wings instead of creating a new shape I used the top bit of the body to create the wings, The eyes I also Extruded from the head to create them also the antenna's.
*So I have learned new and old, I learned things that aren't in 3D's Max and used them to my advantage, Used Keyboard Shortcuts, Planned out the finishing product, Thought about the outcome and added details after the project was completed. Online Resources: https://clara.io/login It impacted my life in many ways as so as other's as well, But it made me stay on track and trying to get my assignments and work done but it makes me sad that I can't see my friends and also family member's but I find ways to maximize my time while doing my homework, playing video games, Drawing, Also doing some Clara.io and making new things to better my skills when switching into 3Ds Max, I think when the pandemic subdues and everything goes back to normal I think people will be talking about this for generations to come, Medicine will improve, More jobs for medicine and the medical field will rise, The economy will be probably normal, Job's that have health codes will be more strict so will restaurant's and how they cook there food, More economic life styles will improve/housing.
It is VERY important to stay on track and to understand certain mechanics working in DDA, Because if you don't understand or memorize the mechanics it will come back to haunt you in DDA 2, Since I've been in DDA and been learning lots of new materials I can say that all the materials and assignments we did back in the day will transition to DDA 2 and will be important so I've been taking my time to go back to memorize some keyboard shortcuts and also recognize some of the tools in 3DS Max since I've been doing Clara.io at my home, I will stay up to date by going back over some steps in 3Ds Max and also by looking over some assignment's and notes to keep my brain fresh when going back into school and into DDA 2 and 3Ds Max.
So for both the game board option and the, what would life be like if this pandemic stopped? , I used Illustrator and Photoshop for this and the tools I used where Vector, Pen tool, Layer masking, and Typography All these used in 1st Semester and also the shape builder tool and once done with both in illustrator and photo shop were suppose to put them together as a collage. For the Pen tool I used keyboard shortcuts to make it easier which are, To select the Pen tool press P, Shift-C which is to convert an Anchor Point, Command/ctrl-J is to join two anchor points, for the vector tool is when you create a shape and when zoomed in on the shape it has these stair case like pixels or when taking a photo out of photo shop and putting it into illustrator it will have the effect, I had no trouble when doing this assignment but for the Pen tool I was rusty but I shook it off.
During these few weeks in DDA we are jumping into 3D modeling and which we had to choice two sites that we can do our work on one being 3D's Max and the other Clara.io, They are similar in ways but have different tools and keyboard shortcuts, We have been doing work for 3D's and clara.io to test our skills, but when doing these assignments it is difficult in clara.io, As it's similar but also different in many ways, When doing assignments that involve both softwares we had different rules for each depending on what software you were using and what the instruction's said, It is hard when you are working with clara.io but trying to follow the instruction's for 3D's Max so I had to improvise when working with clara, I just needed to understand the basics, Keyboard shortcut's, Tools etc and also to watch the videos for 3Ds Max, When we come back for DDA 2 I have to already know what to do and already know the basic's in 3D. When doing the work I was stuck at some parts and where also confused but I used the videos to help me when needed and also try different things and see there outcome's and tried new tools like Pivot, Extrude, Intrude, Bevel in much much more!!, I can't wait to go into DDA 2 and go into 3D's Max for the first time ever..
We are in a day of technology where people edit and use software to help them with editing videos or clips and put them together to make a collage that has a smooth transitions and cuts to videos and or clips and in DDA we are getting use to and also going into the field of Adobe Premiere Rush and gathering clips and putting into a collage that revolves around that idea or key prospect in that video, and we are also going to start new projects,New things are also getting added to the genre like camera motions, field of view and also the Shot Reverse Shot technique even though these are new, they are easy to grasp and understand and are used in movies and create suspense without have different angles and rules of Film Fulidity. There's loads of rules like the 180,45,and many more but most importantly there are Avoid Pans and Avoid Empty Frames these are bad when making movies because even the slightest none movement in a action packed scene makes it boring or bland and puts the action in the movie on hold, And it means a lot to have Shot techniques in movies if not then the person with the camera would just be at one place while there's action going and if the camera isn't moving towards the action, then it would be blaind for the audience, thank god for the 180 rule and every other rule ,without them the movie industry or anything as a whole it would be pretty boring.
On February 9 2020 in the DDA Animation Head Quarters he had a new Adobe software to use to better our skills in creating 2D motion animations the basic and important tools that we used were the,Selection tool,Free Transform tool the paint brush,Paint Bucket tool,Key frame, frame etc and it helped me learn the basic of moving a 2D object from one screen to the other and help me improve and better myself when doing new assignments. It also helped me understand new keyboard shortcuts and to also read the instruction's when doing the assignment and it helps me when I don't understand what I'm doing.
In DDAD we changed into a new program from Photoshop to AI/Adobe Illustrator and we did a project where we choose a movie and made it in AI and learned new keyboard shortcuts and also new tools to manage and work with and the movie I choose for the Alternate Movie Project was How to Train your Dragon it was complicated but I finished it,Another thing with AI We did the 4 Icon Challenges, where we choose a game, movie etc and told the story of the genre we picked by only doing 4 icons of it in chronological order. |
